It turns out that NZ Native falcon the Karearea has little respect for humans with guns. With an appetite for chicken, they've been known to take domestic poultry, even following their fleeing quarry indoors. The NZBirds website has a story of a Karearea beaten to death because it would not surrender its grip on the farmer's chicken. Now thats one bad ass bird!

Ours sits a proud 30 cms high and is fairly robust in 3 mm weathering steel.
